The Golden Coast Line by Choolips

Choolips is a European fashion brand with a bold approach to designing, mixing and matching prints across a variety of fashion layers. The brand have been working in Ghana with batik designs since 2006, and even set up a supply chain for the production of their first line from their Diamond Petals SS13 Collection called the Golden Coast. Choolips creates beautiful collections that are seamless blends of cultures with the backbone of sustainability. Choolips designs are filled with exquisite detailing telling stories of beauty and love.

Our ‘Golden Coast‘ line is inspired by the soul of Ghana’s streets: its music and its people. Fairly traded, printed in Ghana by local batikers and tailored by our manufacturer SOKO in Kenya the collection is colourful, bright and bold says the Designer & Founder of CHOOLIPS, Annegret Affolderbach

The brand yesterday also released the second line from the same Diamond Petals SS13 Collection called the ‘Planet India’ which was entirely made by hand. This collection was made in India and features some exciting designs. Every season, Choolips produces two lines and this year’s was the Golden Coast and the Planet India - both under the Diamond Petals SS13 Collection. Expect our editorial on  the Planet India Line in our November Digital Issue.
