Beatrace Oola is inviting the world to Germany for Africa Fashion Day Berlin

Beatrace Angut Oola is the Founder & Director of Africa Fashion Day Berlin. She was Born in Neuss (near DüsseldorfGermany and is of Ugandan origin. Her love for fashion took her on a tour through being a reporter which was just after uni. Her experience from been a reporter opened her to the world of entertainment and celebrities. German Celebrities such as Bernd Eichinger, Udo Lindenberg and Xavier Naidoo were just a few Beatrace interviewed as a reporter. From reporting, she worked within the film and TV industry as a Production designs assistant until her love and passion for fashion was greater than all the reporting, all the film and TV productions combined and that was when she decided to start the Africa Fashion Day Berlin. The platform Africa Fashion Day Berlin is a network for fashion designers with an African, Afro-Caribbean, and Afro-American background, who are also living in Europe to come together, to showcase their creative designs and for buyers to network with the products.

The African Fashion Day Berlin is truly an amazing and versatile platform that promotes a wide variety of the New and Young, Modern, High-End, Urban, and Trendy African fashion designs. A brand with an African flair filled with glamour, and an exclusive event with an international character, The African Fashion Day Berlin is poised to start the 2013 Fashion year Calendar on a high – The inaugural of “Africa Fashion Day Berlin” is planned for January 2013 (A date will be announced soon). Subsequently, the event is to take place twice a year, in the same rhythm as the Berlin Fashion Weeks each year. Runway shows, live acts, and a film and photo exhibition are currently in preparation.

Africa Fashion Day Berlin will expose the audience, visitors and buyers to the new pan-African design aesthetics with its innovation, resourcefulness and craftsmanship says, founder of AFDB Beatrace Angut Oola.

Beatrace’s love for fashion and connecting the market to the buyers is just another reason why she decided to start The Africa Fashion Day Berlin. The 2013 event is going to be a cracker of an event as the whole team involved are going out of their ways to ensure the designers, media, guests and everyone attending gets a feel of the AFDB that will last for a lifetime.
