The 2014 Channel O Africa Music Video Awards is well and truly over but for us here at Zen the show never ends as we digest and dissect through the many fashion looks we witnessed at the show. Being Africa’s most coveted music award ceremony, we expected the stars to come and come they did as we saw the likes of Tiwa Savage, AKA, Cassper Nyovest, Bucie, Donald, Seyi Shay, Eku Edewor, Boity and many more stars from all over Africa grace the red carpet. Africa’s hottest night in music came to life with mind-blowing collaborations. K.O and A.K.A got the crowd going when they opened the show with their hit singles “Caracara” and “Run Jozi” respectively. Other mind blowing performances on the night included “Tsekede” and “Yaya” by Dreamteam and DJ Dimplez featuring Anatii. We got to see Lil Kesh do this “Shoki” remix single, Dancehall star Patoranking performed his “Girlie O remix” single with the ever so gorgeous Tiwa Savage, we also saw the fabulous Bucie performing her smash hit single “Easy to Love” while we had super performances from guys like Donald “Unpredictable”, Davido “Aye”, Cassper Nyovest “Doc Shebeleza” and Emmy Gee “Rands and Nairas remix”. The big winners on the night were South African star Cassper Nyovest who took home the awards for Most Gifted Male, Most Gifted Southern and Most Gifted Video of the year, and Tanzanian pop star DiamondHere’s a full list of who walked away with what at the 2014 show:
