Allegra Gamalo Nzege is a 21 year old Congolese model who was born and raised in Geneva, Switzerland. Allegra started modelling at the age of 9 when a friend of her mom discovered her and gradually started to nurture her to the model she is today. Allegra uses modelling not just to gain valuable exposure in the fashion industry but to also connect with charity causes and organizations nationwide.
Models such as Waris Dirie who campaigns against Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) in some Sub-Saharan African countries or Liya Kebede who was the former World Health Organisation‘s Goodwill Ambassador for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health are two examples of models Allegra looks up to because one of her sole goals is to be a model not just for the catwalk but a role model to her people. She has walked the runways for shows such as the Young fashion designer awards 2011 and Botswana at London Fashion Week 2012 to list a few and has worked with amazing Photographers such as Elly Charles, Vincent Sluiter and Elle Photography.
